As long-term readers here know, (Well, long terms in regards to our existence, anyway), this blog began as an adjunct to a Community Supported Agriculture effort in northern Minnesota. Our friends at Neighborhood and Kings Gardens in and around Hackensack were the spark for us. Anyway, Christie just sent an email noting that they had FIVE INCHES OF SNOW today, which buried the crocus and daffodils – Holy smokes, guess we need to send some sun up in a care package!
The gardens will have interns this year, which is pretty darn cool; Nate will be at Neighborhood, and Trish over at Kings. Trish has started a blog about her adventures, which we encourage you to visit; she put it well when she wrote, “If you don’t participate in a CSA, you should look for one near you. There is no better way to support sustainable agriculture and your local small farms!” Amen, Girlfriend, and welcome! We’ve added a link to her blog as well.
