Check out the newly published Fresh Herbs Page! It’s about time I got off my duff and did something there…
Our ample spice rack is predominantly fueled by the great folks at World Spice down below the Pike Street Market in Seattle. They ship anywhere, and never send anything but the freshest and best and no, I do not get a deal for so saying; check ’em out here.
The entries you’ll find there and on the pages to come are not meant to be all inclusive; they are derived, quite frankly, from my sitting in front of the spice rack and noting what we actually have there and use. It’s certainly not a static list, so as we add stuff, you’ll find more entries on the corresponding pages. Of course, if you don’t see something you use and love, please do let us know!
Note also that we’ve finally added a number of categories for the many posts herein; we trust this’ll make things much easier for you to browse and find just exactly what you’re after!
Dried Herb and Spices, and Spice Blends pages are soon to follow, so stay tuned!
Here’s a shameless plug to invite all y’all to check out my new gig as resident Chef for American Boomer magazine. You can scope my inaugural article right here.
Have a peak!
Well, 3.5 days and 2100 miles later, we’ve landed in Washington. We’re transitioning in square feet from 1600 to 900, which includes reduced kitchen space in a big way!
That said, everything we need is here and we’re very happy to be back close to family and old friends.
It’s gonna take a little but to get settled, but stay tuned!
After 11 wonderful years, M & I are returning home to Washington State.
We’ll miss all our wonderful friends in Texas, but we’ll
Always be connected through shared love and experience.
Texas has fused and enriched our deep love for all things Tex-Mex; now we’ll bring that to the Great Northwet and begin our next culinary journey.
Stay tuned, the next chapter is gonna rock!
This just in via email:
Had to tell you that I finally got around to doing the rump roast and yorkshire pudding that you had given the instructions for on the blog last Dec or so. The pud’ was terrific. I tried making it many years ago without much success. I followed your recipe to the T and it was great! Pretty easy, too. Just have to remember the timing, as it’s not a last minute thing.
And that’s why we do this…
